The just concluded post-UTME exercise was held between Monday 27th and Thursday 30th of August, 2018. Aspirants in both centers, Ilorin and Lagos, were examined with a Computer Based Test (CBT) which comprised of 50 questions with English Language having the majority and current affairs, mathematics.
Although about 40,000 candidates registered for the screening, a total of 39,289 partook in the screening exercise while 670 candidates were absent. Those candidates who missed the test during their stipulated time were given the opportunity to write the test on Thursday under mopup which brought the close of the exercise.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, University of Ilorin, Professor Sylvia Malomo during an interview session with Unilorin FM on Friday, August 31, 2018 disclosed that 64 percent of the 39, 289 candidates that sat for the Unilorin 2018 post-UTME screening scored 50 percent and above while 36 percent of the participated candidates failed the test by scoring 48 percent and below. This therefore implies that the university will only consider those aspirants who scored above 50% in the exam.
On a rounding note, Professor Malomo gave thanks to God for recording a smooth sailing screening exercise, saying that the university had begun process of collating the results for the admission for the successful candidates.

She also hinted that of the two students that were apprehended on Monday during the screening exercise for examination malpractice, one of them has been re-considered because investigation carried out revealed that the error was from the cyber cafe operator who registered the aspirant uploaded different passport. She therefore advised applicants to be very vigilant while registering in the cafe and report errors encountered for possible solution before the deadline.
Finally it is expedient to note the only those who score above 50 would be considered for admission with various departmental cutoff mark above 50. However, there is hope for those who scored 48 below.
